patriarchal Blessings aren't guidelines or recommendations! They are prophecies according to our faithfulness!

Hello family!
How great is it to hear from you all!
I have been doing very wonderful! Last week I issued a challenge to make your lives more like Temples. How has that been going?? Please Return and Report ;)

We had a baptism last week! His name's Jimmy Jr. He's 9 years old. He's so energetic and crazy, but all went well at the baptism! His father (Jimmy Sr.) was so emotional and touched it was amazing. A very powerful baptism. His confirmation ( done by my companion Elder Redd) was very beautiful as well. The family is pretty crazy, and almost always fighting and squirming, but all went well at church! They were so behaved it was ridiculous! It's amazing what the Spirit can do!

I wanted to talk today about Fulfilling our responsibilities. If we are not fulfilling and magnifying our responsibilities we are throwing away Celestial Glory. Christ didn't say it was easy, but He DID say it was worth it. My brothers and sisters, last week I received a revelation that has changed my life forever. It involved my Patriarchal Blessing, and who I can become. I was cutting myself short of who I can become, and denying every opportunity to achieve it because I had the mindset that all would fold out if it was meant to happen.

Although the Lord does often work this way, it was not so with my blessing. We have to do our part, and realize who we can become!!!! This knowledge hit me in the head like a 2x4. Hello! It was as if the Holy Ghost bonked me on the head and said "Hello Elder Johnson! Patriarchal blessings aren't guidelines or recommendations! They are prophesies according to our faithfulness!"

I felt about this big  .
I learned that I need to fulfill my responsibilities! I learned, it is more than just a job that comes with a fancy name tag. I am fulfilling my role for God, by helping others understand God's role for them!
With love,
Elder Johnson

My comp took away the cigarette from an investigator & i was very shocked to see it later in my bag!

This one will be a little short, but still I mean every word.
I pray the Spirit of the lord may be with all of us! :)
I'm so happy here! My joy is great as we've been serving the Lord here in
the Berwick area. We have a baptism coming up this week and it'll be FANTASTIC! We're
so excited! Last week we had an amazing Zone Conference. It was probably the last time we'll see our Mission President, President Topham, seeing as they are leaving in a few weeks. Something really cool actually, President Johnson, the New Mission President, has a son named Andrew!!!

So cool!!!!!! Last week we had a really neat experience. So we have this investigator that we recently taught the Word of Wisdom. He rolls his own cigarettes, but was very determined to get rid of it so he could be baptized. So we challenged him to give it to us. My companion Elder Redd took it away at the lesson. (I was very shocked to see it later in my bag) Anyways! While we were home, we obviously knew we should throw it away. I went to the garbage to do so, but I felt its evil had no place in our apartment. I wrapped in a bag and threw it outside. When we both walked back into the room, the room felt a million tons lighter. It felt like walking into a church. The Holy Ghost bore witness that it was an apartment of God! A temple even.

The Lord's challenge for each of us, is to rid ourselves of our own "spiritual tobacco" and allow the "Temples" of our lives, whether that mean our environment, home, and even body. All of our "Temples" must be clean and worthy enough to be full of the Spirit of the Lord. Whether it be physically speaking, or temporally speaking.
I testify that the Lord is ever so sensitive and aware of our needs, and of our hearts. He is our Father.

Happy Father's day!

In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

We must never leave a meeting as the same person, leave as Changed Beings!

Hello Friends and Family!

Sorry, I've been pretty crummy at emailing yinz guys.
Well this week sure has been a spiritual POWERHOUSE.
I know the Lord definitely wanted us to hear a lot at Stake Conference.
2 General Authorities came to Stake Conference. Elder Golden and Elder Kunz. I believe on is a 70 and one's an area 70.
Anyways. We learned quite A LOT from these wonderful men! They taught us so much about the Book of Mormon, about Joseph Smith, about how clear it is that the Lrod is really watching over all of us. I truly felt the Lord confirm to me that their words were His, and not theirs. I felt the Priesthood power emanate in the room. It was a powerful experience, very intense, but also lovely. Elder Golden told us, we must never leave a meeting as the same person. We must leave as CHANGED BEINGS. It was very powerful. They're very funny people too. So loving and warm.
Imagine what it would feel like to meet Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.

They also told us, even Christ is nothing without the Father. Which really didn't click in my mind until now. Even the most humble, perfect being in all the world, is nothing without His Perfect and humble Father. That day the Spirit really hit me of why we must always seek humility. I learned I must be humble and not prideful. I love improving! It's so great!
Anyways. I'm alive, and well! Elder Redd is such an amazing missionary. He's so powerful when he speaks. He really teaches with authority. Maybe he'll be a General Authority, who knows?
I love you all. I know the Savior lives. I know God Calls men to specific callings with Divine and perfect planning.

The Lord our God, is the Perfect Conductor of the orchestra of our lives.

Oh by the way we're having a baptism next friday! WAHOO!
